What is Discoverly?

Discoverly is a Chrome extension which scrapes the web to find any individual’s Twitter and Facebook data and adds it to their Linkedin profile whilst you view it.

Why should you use Discoverly?

This brilliant little chrome extension can be very valuable: Discoverly will enable you to gather further information quickly when using LinkedIn, and save time when sales prospecting or looking for a professional introduction to a client.

Once you are on a person’s LinkedIn profile with relevance to you, with the extension activated, a green icon will appear to indicate extended information on that person including Twitter data and Facebook mutual friends. This can speed up the process of whether they are beneficial for purpose or not.

In essence, much like Ebsta and Crystal, Discover.ly augments the data you see on another person’s LinkedIn profile and gives you additional data to help you tailor and personalise how you engage with them (via email, messaging or in-person).

Who is behind Discoverly?

Discoverly was created by Theodore Summe. He created the plugin whilst trying to hack his social data (i.e. mutual friends and connections, as revealed on Facebook and LinkedIn) to get press coverage and funding , you can read the story here.

How much does Discoverly cost?

Discoverly is free for anyone wanting to grow their business. Simply install the Chrome tool and then browse your social networks as usual: you’ll see a little icon next to a profile’s name. Hover over the icon and get instant access to the information you need. Put your social data to work and start realising the value of your network.
